Asphalt Binder
STATE Testing has one of the few completely independent AASHTO accredited asphalt binder and emulsion testing laboratories in the United States. Being an independent laboratory allows us to give our clients complete confidence in the test results without conflicts of interest.
Our lab specializes in in-depth forensic analysis of asphalt binders. Our extraction and recovery services can be used as a tool to verify asphalt binder integrity, quantify performance of an asphalt mix, and determine the properties of recycled binder sources or asphalt modifiers. This analysis can be used in conjunction with FTIR testing to identify the quantity and type of asphalt modifiers in the binder. Agencies and clients can use this information to make data-driven decisions, optimizing asphalt mix performance for their unique needs.
